3 Daily practices to becoming an extraordinary LOVER
1. Generate Gratitude: What’s the very first thing you do after opening your eyes in the morning?Let the miracle that we wake up each morning inspire you to enjoy a couple delicious breaths of gratitude. Feel the preciousness of your life in each breath. Think of the very first moments you open your eyes to be the imprint for your day. Take a moment to pause, feel all parts of your body and generate gratitude for the greatest gift you have ever known, LIFE! After generating gratitude for the mere gift of waking up, say a little prayer for your day. The power of prayer is miraculous ! Whomever you pray to whether it be God, Buddha, the universe, allow for it to be really sincere and coming from a pure heartfelt space. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve prayed for support in certain areas and watched the magic of life unfold before my eyes.
Tips: Set your alarm for 5 minutes before you usually would. This allows for a graceful transition to your morning schedule and pure dedication to gratitude! Pray for support in areas of your job, relationships, friendships anything that supports your most truthful, authentic you!
2. Acknowledge the Earth: The first time you go outside acknowledge the ground beneath your feet. Trees help us survive and thrive! Pause, take a deep breath… you feel that ? The very oxygen we breathe is produced by the trees. Acknowledge the first plant and flower you see by thanking it for its beautiful offering. The earth is sacred and it’s such a privilege to play and experience life. Maybe you even start singing to the earth and plant life around you 😉 ! The more presence you have with the earth, the more presence you have in your life.
Tip: Set a daily reminder on your phone to stop and appreciate the earth, and become present in this very moment.
3. Act of kindness: Write a short love poem to yourself, friend, lover, partner or even a stranger(you can place it on the windshield of their car). I know we all have limited energy, and writing a poem might be too time consuming, so think simple and text someone words of appreciation. Any small act of kindness can go a long way! Small acts of kindness can be as easy as smiling at someone, opening up a door, or giving someone an authentic compliment. Let’s intend to bring about a world that’s more kind!
Tip: Set a reminder each day on your phone, or have a screensaver that reminds you of your commitment to being kind.
